Just wanted to share our newest site we launched. It has been a long time in the works, but we are rolling all of our products into one convenient place to purchase. Our new site is signstoyou. We’ve launched the site with huge collection of parking signs. We really took the extra time to make this a great section with a lot of useful custom metal signs. We’ve added some aggressive pricing to make our signs one of the best deals on the web.

How we make parking signs

All of our signs are produced from .080 Aluminum and professionally designed. We print each sign on a fancy UV flat bed printer directly on the aluminum. If you ordered reflective aluminum we would do that same thing. Once the sign has been printed we place an optically clear protective laminate coating on it bringing the life of the sign over 7+ years. Some types of parking signs we have loaded up include No Parking Signs, Handicap Parking, and Reserved.

One common search query we get is people looking for information on a vinyl lettering machine. In the industry a vinyl lettering machine is actually known as a vinyl cutter. The cutter mainly works by tracking the vinyl sheet back and forth through the machine by means of a pinch roller system. These pinch rollers move the vinyl while a knife (called a pen) presses down and cuts the lettering out of the sheet. Once cutting is complete the excess vinyl then must be weeded out of the sheet leaving on the desired lettering. Visit our vinyl lettering machine informational site for more information on how they work.

A common question we are asked is which is the best method for applying vinyl lettering? There are two basic methods that you can use. The first is the wet method, the second is the dry method. Now you will find that there are variations of the dry method however they are similar. To get a full understanding of how each method works visit our online application instructions.

Wet Method

The wet method is all around a more forgiving method of installing vinyl on any surface. This can be used on a vehicle, window, or boat. The wet method creates a liquid barrier preventing the adhesive from bonding to the surface this allows you to slide the vinyl around before final positioning. Bubbles are easy to work out from under the vinyl since they are able to escape. The wet method can be difficult to use when you have a sharp contoured surface rather than flat. This is because the adhesive cannot bond so the vinyl will not stick properly around the surface. This is where high end wrap vinyl is more appropriate.

Dry Method

The dry method is the most commonly used method but is less forgiving. Once you start to make an application with the dry method you usually can’t go back. Since the vinyl is in direct contact with the surface the adhesive will grab immediately. Advantages of the dry method include the ability to instantly apply your letters while the wet requires a cure time. The dry method works great on flat surfaces too.
